"To be a part of two Olympics is pretty much indescribable. So many talented collaborators and the people of Salt Lake City are so friendly. The great Utah Symphony and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir gave so much of themselves. A tremendous honor!"

It was a "musical quilt" made up of various melodies that came from the south. |
Run Through TimeA wonderful tribute to all of the cities who had hosted the games beginning with Athens in 1896. | Conducting the FinaleProducer, Don Mischer, asked me to compose a song for the finale of the opening ceremonies. I immediately brought in the extraordinary lyricist, Lorraine Feather (http://www.lorrainefeather.com). The result was "Faster, Higher, Stronger," the Olympic motto and was performed by opera legend, Jessye Norman. We received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music and Lyrics! |
